  1. Usage of 'Speedup'
  2. ---------------
  3. 'Speedup is a public-domain-program:  You can copy it all you want, as
  4. long as you don't change this message.
  5.  
  6. Speedup takes two optional parameters:
  7.  
  8. The first specifies the drive number : i.e:
  9.  
  10. Speedup df1:
  11.  
  12. If you don't give a drive number, it runs from df0:.
  13.  
  14. The second possible parmeter is a value that you want speedup to use.
  15. i.e.: speedup df1: 900, speedup 800 etc.
  16.  
  17. If you don't give this parameter, speedup will go into an interactive mode,
  18. in which you can enter this parameter.
  19.  
  20. The second parameter is the length of time that the Amiga will wait until
  21. it steps the head of the disk drive.
  22.  
  23. The smaller the number that you give it is, the shorter the it waits, and
  24. the faster it steps.
  25.  
  26. Speedup will not accept a second parameter that is less than 500, otherwise
  27. you would get read errors on your drive.  (In some cases, this number may
  28. be higher).

  30. My favorite is 800.
